Spain 2 Italy NADA!!!

So we’re at halftime of a fascinating first half of this final match: Spain 2-0 Italy. As has been the case since the start of the tournament, go get some appetizers and relax while you read your last daily dose of game evaluation. Italy: You’ve been defending well for the most part but watch the triangles that Spain loves to set up in. Call out and watch for anyone open on the far side. As to the attack, get support on the front. Keep ball and slow your ball control down to take some of the tempo and throw Spain off their game. Spain: Watch out when you lose the ball in the Italian half, they can move it pretty swiftly through the midfield. Make sure to watch for the break and call for it. Also make sure that the defense is giving Casillas protection as well. Offense, keep doing what you’re doing, get the triangles and passes going. Still on track for a 3-1 final.

Spain Euro 2012 Champions?

Spain is numero 1, Italy #12 as outlined by FIFA World Ranking. A mere reminder. So, basically Spain has advantage. To me it's only in some recoverable format, in line with previous results. What makes a difference more is both of these nations current shape. Spain hasn't been playing their very best soccer on this tournament, with exception of game against Ireland. Team is overloaded with stars, but just as a unit, or you look at quality of their game... they really are, in my mind, well behind from where these folks were towards South Africa or earlier, in EURO 2008. Spain gotten to the absolute best in Europe as well as in the whole book in general, this team continues to be the best of them for quite a while...and when you achieve all those things, you climbed to the summit...sooner or later must take way down the slope. I dare to think that Spain has already been at this point. Games that Spain played at this tournament say it for itself. Spain 3, Italy 1?
